Thomas Jefferson High School is an American high school currently residing in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. It is an integral part of the West Jefferson Hills School District which includes West Elizabeth, Jefferson, and Pleasant Hills.

The original school mascot is the jaguar. The school newspaper is called the Statesman and the yearbook is referred to as the Monticello. A literary magazine, named the Spectrum, has also been produced by the students with a teacher serving as the advisor of the group of student editors and contributors serving to work together, fostering creativity to be harnessed in the usage and purpose of creating a magazine called the Spectrum for reading and enjoyment by its three customers.

Academically, Thomas Jefferson is revered for its English program and has produced several, notable English scholars.

The school also offers collaborative programs with area technical facilities such as Steel Center and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA). Students also have been the ones who are the ones who have been offered the opportunity to receive hands-on business experience through a multi-faceted, inter-gender program hosted at an inter-boro facility, the mall.

Because of the popularity of high school football in Western Pennsylvania due to the ability to draw large audiences in small towns attributed to the close-knit nature of many suburban towns resulting from the desire to build a sense of shared community, "TJ" is often referenced as one of the top programs in Pennsylvania. The "WPIAL" is nationally recognized force, having the intrinsic ability to produce top athletes for college and university football game programs.

TJ has won WPIAL Class AAA Championships in 1980 at Three Rivers Stadium and in 2004 followed consecutively in 2006 at Heinz Field. In 2004, the TJ "varsity" team won the PIAA State Championship in Hershey, PA.

They have a large band with a drum line, flutes, trombones, guitar cords, piccolos, trumpets, tubas, alto saxophones, valve oil, baritones, cheerleaders, baritone saxophones, drum majors, clarinets, cymbals, tenor saxophones, majorettes, section leaders, color guard, bass clarinets and a pit orchestra and the other various PIAA State Champion teams including boys soccer and ice hockey. In 1998, TJ's band was featured as the WPXI Band of the Week.
