Thomas Herschmiller (born April 6, 1978 in Comox, British Columbia) is a Canadian rower. He won a gold medal at the 2003 world championships in Milan, Italy and a silver in the same event at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Shortly after winning silver in Athens, Tom was involved in a motorcycle accident in Colorado City, Texas, where he and teammate Ben Rutledge were enjoying a two-month motorcycle tour of the USA. Herschmiller suffered three chipped vertebrae in his neck as a result of the accident. Herschmiller is a member of the Men's Heavyweight Fours rowing crew that brought home silver from the 2004 Athens Olympics. Tom studied at Princeton University, and is currently studying medicine at the University of Sydney.
