Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library

Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library is part of the University of Toronto's library system. Its collections constitute the single largest repository of publicly accssible rare books in Canada. Among of its most notable titles are a copy of Shakespeare's First Folio (1623), Newton's Principia Mathematica (1687), two copies of the Nuremberg Chronicle (1493), and Darwin's proof copy (with annotations) of The Origin of Species (1859). It is also home to the University Archives which, in addition to institutional records, also contains the papers of many important Canadian literary figures including Margaret Atwood and Robertson Davies.

The collection is accessible by faculty, staff, students and the general public for reading and research purposes only.
