Thomas Arbuthnot of Meethill. (1792 - 27 October 1872) was a merchant, shipowner and Provost of Peterhead (1834-1843). He is thought to have been he who owned and after whom was named the fast sailing ship Thomas Arbuthnot.

Arbuthnot was the second son of Thomas Arbuthnot of Innervidie and Nether Kinmundy.
