Thomas Alexander

Thomas M. Alexander (born September 8, 1952 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is a professor of philosophy at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in 1974, a master's degree from Emory University in 1976, and a doctorate also from Emory in 1984.
He is best known for his ground-breaking work on the philosophy of John Dewey: John Dewey's Theory of Art, Experience, and Nature: The Horizons of Feeling. (Albany: State University of New York Press, 1987)
