Tholme is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe.

[edit] Biography

Tholme was one of Quinlan Vos' early teachers. Master Tholme was the watchman of the sector which contained the planets Kiffex and Kiffu, during the time when Kurlin Vos was the Sheyf of Kiffu. It was Tholme who discovered Quinlan's Force sensitivity, and asked Kurlin if the boy could be taken to Coruscant for training. Kurlin agreed, but Tinte Vos argued that Quinlan should remain on Kiffu as a Guardian. She used Quinlan's abilities to investigate the deaths of his parents, which had left him nearly insane.

Tholme resigned his post as watchman and dedicated himself to repairing Quinlan's mind and training him as a Jedi. One of their earliest adventures was the Stark Hyper-Space War. He was later dispatched to Kiffex to monitor Quinlan, during the investigation into the re-emergence of Volfe Karkko, and helped Quinlan defeat the feral Anzati warriors. Tholme then presented Quinlan with the star-shaped amulet which was the emblem of the Vos clan. Quinlan's psychometric powers were able to read the amulet, which revealed the truth about the deaths of Quinlan's parents at the hands of the Anzati under the control of Volfe Karkko.

Later, Tholme was dispatched to Ryloth to mediate the succession of the head clan which had been led by Pol Secura. He was captured by the Morgukai warrios Tsyr and Bok while trying to protect the Secura heir, Nat Secura. He was forced to feign death in order to be united with the young Twi'lek. The two were later rescued by Vos and Secura. After this period he was appointed as Aay'las new Master as Quinlan's record was somewhat tainted.

After the Battle of Geonosis, Tholme was sent along with Sora Bulq to confront Count Dooku on Bakura. In a fierce lightsaber duel, Count Dooku permanently damaged his knee (he later used a prosthetic) and pierced his shoulder, before dropping a ton of rocks onto him and leaving him for dead. Tholme was later freed by Sora Bulq.

He used his death trick years later, during the Clone Wars, when he traveled to Devaron with the Dark Woman and Aayla Secura to infiltrate the estate of Vien'sai'malloc. Tholme and the Dark Woman were lured into a trap by Aurra Sing, who had planted false information about the location of a Separatist base on the planet.

Aurra Sing trapped both of them in an abandoned mine, then set out to destroy Aayla Secura. Tholme and the Dark Woman placed themselves into a death-like trance to lure Sing into a trap. Sing dropped her guard long enough for Secura to disarm and capture her. The Jedi Masters, injured but alive, were transported back to Coruscant for treatment.

Tholme was later dispatched to Saleucami, where Count Dooku and his Dark Jedi were cloning Morgukai warriors and training them in Anzati assassination techniques. Tholme mission was to destroy the cloning facilities.

Tholme was one of the few survivors of Order 66, although his ultimate fate is unknown.
