Talk:Thornton Donovan School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
From VfD:
Non-notable private school. Producing a couple of famous people isn't notable; my school has some famous alums. - Kenwarren 01:36, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)
- Comment. None of the "prominent alumni" are notable enough to have Wikipedia articles. OTOH, the article is considerably richer in history and detail than many of the school articles we get. It would be a decent article if only the school were notable, but I'm not yet convinced it is. Dpbsmith 02:07, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: It's well written, but the foundation story is common to a number of Northeastern US private schools. If it is rewritten by the end of VfD voting to indicate notability, I will change my vote. At present, it does not meet the bar. Geogre 13:38, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Interesting article. Interesting facts. Arevich 18:53, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- The WWI Fighter Ace and the Yachtsman probably at least deserve mention in lists of "WWI Aces" and "Winners of the Americas Cup" however, unless they learned politing and yachting at the Donovan School, non-notable. Delete.--Samuel J. Howard 21:09, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Non-notable. Bacchiad 21:47, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, but mark this as a stub. More information would be good! - Ta bu shi da yu 10:13, 28 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I see no reason for deletion. What requirements does it not meet? Nach0King

[edit] My school
I'll be hopefully adding some more useful information. The school is quite interesting, considering how small it is (~13 students per grade).
