Nice article - one question though: is "small coal" an alternative term for charcoal or is "small coal-man" referring to the size of the business? It reads strangely - seems like he was a little man who sold coal. Yomanganitalk 18:37, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Your first suggestion is correct, "small coal" was the then-current name for charcoal. Warofdreams talk 19:00, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
