Think (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Think" is the name of a hit single released by American R&B/soul musician Aretha Franklin in 1968, from her Aretha Now album. The song, - a feminist anthem -, reached #7 on Billboard Pop Singles Chart, becoming Aretha's seventh Top 10 hit in the United States. The song also reached #1 on the magazine's Black Singles Chart, becoming Aretha's sixth single to top that particular chart.
Franklin also performed the song in a musical sequence of the 1980 film The Blues Brothers.

[edit] The song on American Idol
It was also performed by not one, but two American Idol runner-ups: the first was Diana DeGarmo in season 3 in 2004, and two years later, in 2006, it was performed in season 5 by Katharine McPhee.
McPhee's version of the song was released as a limited single from the American Idol 5: Encores album. The song eventually became a minor internet hit for McPhee. The song would become McPhee's first song to chart on the Pop 100, where it only peaked at #90, due to download sales only, - since the song was not released to radio airplay. The song was not released as her first official single, since "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/My Destiny" was confirmed to be so.
