Thin White Rope
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thin White Rope were an American rock band fronted by Guy Kyser and related to the desert rock and paisley underground subgenres. They were formed in Davis, California in 1984. Often noted for their twin guitar attack (compare Television) and oblique lyrics, Thin White Rope released a few recordings to critical acclaim and mostly consumer indifference. They disbanded in 1992.
The band was largely based on singer/songwriter/guitarist Guy Kyser and guitarist Roger Kunkel, with a changing line-up of drummers and bass guitarists.
Their name "Thin White Rope" derives from William S. Burroughs description of human semen.
