Thierry Vigneron (born March 9, 1960 in Gennevilliers) is a retired French athlete. For many years he was among the world's leading pole vaulters.
On June 20, 1981, Vigneron beat the world record of Władysław Kozakiewicz from 5.78 m to 5.8. This record remained unbeaten until May 26, 1984, when Sergey Bubka captured the record which he would eventually move to 6.14. Vigneron took a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and a silver medal at the 1987 World Championships in Rome. He also won a silver and a bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships in 1985 and 1987. He retired in 1996.
