Thierry Roussel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thierry Roussel was the fourth husband of Christina Onassis, and the only man with whom she had a child. Their daughter is Athina, who was raised by her father and stepmother (former model Marianne "Gaby" Landhage) after Christina's death.
Thierry and Gaby have three children together: Erik, Sandrine, and Johanna. The older two children were born during Thierry's marriage to Christina. Erik was born in the summer of 1985, and Sandrine was born in May 1987. Johanna was born in 1991.
Thierry's sister, Christine de Luynes, is married to the Duke of Chevreuse. Their parents are Henri Julien Gaston Roussel and Francine Grinda Roussel. Thierry's mother is the sister of the veteran Davis Cup tennis player Jean-Noël Grinda. This information on the Roussel and Grinda relations comes from an article published in Vanity Fair, November 1997, written by Edward Klein and also [1].
The Roussel family is part of the Roussel Uclaf corporation, most famous for the design of the abortifacient RU-486 (mifepristone). Henri Roussel is, for sure, a businessman associated with the pharmaceutical industry [2].
