Workers are generally 1/32 inches long and yellow-ish brown-ish in color.
The thief ant is not a single species but a group of closely related ones. It travels in groups throughout most of the United States and are predators of fire ant queens.
Scientific name: Solenopsis molesta Subfamily: Myrmicinae
