Some Wikipedia users have names similar or identical to other users and articles in mainspace. {{thisuser}} permits such users to disambiguate themselves from these other uses of the same or similar name. This generates a dablink, also called a hatnote.

{{Thisuser|use|page}}

Both parameters are positional and optional. If given, use displays as the name with which the user might be confused; page is the destination of the dablink.

Do not substitute this template.
