Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines outline some things to include.
- Interested in working on a more complete article? The military history peer review and collaboration departments would welcome your help!
- Interested in a particular area of military history? We have a number of task forces that focus on specific nations or periods.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill Lokshin 03:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:CampSabraactivies.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:CampSabraactivies.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:27, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
My RFA
Thank you, Thetruthbelow, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 23:09, 20 May 2006 (UTC) |

Welcome to VandalProof!
Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Thetruthbelow! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. Eagle talk 00:08, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Ok ok... DO NOTHING. sorry, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. First I need you to respond to these questions.

VandalProof help is here!!!
Ok, first off lets have this whole conversation on my page, so we can keep this togather. (any new tips that are learned from this I want to be able to pass to others... this conversation will actually have some value for others:-). Also I don't feel like jumping pages, especially if we don't find the solution right off of the bat:-).
- Thank you:-)
- P.S. normally when the light in the upper-right of my talk page is yellow or green, I will respond very quickly.
Popups
Ok, first off, I noticed that you do not have popups in your monobook.js, so we are going to need to add these first:-)
- Go to your monobook and add {{subst:navpop}}. This line will expand out to the proper code. I would do this for you, but for some reason you have your monobook protected:-(.
- Note, this will not help you log in, but this will prevent problems after you manage to log in. Basically you need the "revert" ablility that this code provides. (the next version of vandalproof will be popup independent, i.e. you can remove this from your monobook)Eagle talk 19:15, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- What browser do you normally use to edit wikipedia? (Include version number please)
- Do you log in every time you use wikipedia, or do you use the "remember me" checkbox?
- What is your operating system?
- Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 of how computer competent you are? (1=I know nothing, I just click and it works, 10=you know how to program at a beginner level or higher any programming language)... I ask this so I have a clue of what you know and don't know:-). I rate myself a 10 as I program C++, and a little C#, plus assorted others.
- ok, enough questions, with responses to these I will be able to start:-).
Thank you for allowing me to help you, and please remember to check my talk page for the duration of this conversation:-)01:38, 23 May 2006 (UTC)~
I do tech support for VP rather often, look at my talk page:-)... also from here on I am going to respond on my page... put it on your watch list:-) (It is nice to have easy access to questions and answears)Eagle talk 01:41, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please answear the questions:-)

- Not to butt in, which I often do while Eagle helps people with VandalProof problems, but make sure you do a hard refresh of your monobook before continuing. To do this open the page and press Ctrl-F5. Then go to the main page and hover your mouse over a link and make sure a prieview pops up. This will confirm that the popups work. - (edit conflict) Here is the problem (look at the yellow highlight on the left). For some reason the program does not recognize Eagle as a moderator, and wouldn't listen when he added you. I'll re-add you, so it should work. (Give me a second to add you). Prodego talk 02:15, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- did you add me yet because it is still not working and i am occuring the same problem. Thetruthbelow(talk) 02:18, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
I just did now, try again, it should work. Prodego talk 02:20, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- still dosn't work, but now it takes a second longer to encounter the error. Thetruthbelow(talk) 02:21, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

VandalProof
If you have not yet gotten VandalProof to work, we think we may have found the problem. Do you still have the same bug? Prodego talk 19:13, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- What version of Windows (assuming Windows since you use I.E.) do you have, and do you have an administrator account [on your computer]? Prodego talk 20:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- It is fine to just leave you on the list, and yes, I believe the problem is that you need admin access on your computer for vandalproof to work. Happy editing! Prodego talk 21:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Why did you remove the redirect to Pippin the Younger? They are one and the same person. If you feel that page doesn't have all the information it should, please just add it there instead of creating a fork by removing the redirect -- Hirudo 19:37, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oh I'm sorry, I haven't edited that article in a while, but when I went to it, all of a sudden it was gone so I restored it. Sorry about that. Thetruthbelow(talk) 23:48, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
