[edit] ELO Articles

Hello! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. I appreciate your work with the ELO articles but please take the time to read up on some of the guidelines on Wikipedia.

  • WP:ALBUM - This discusses some of the naming conventions that songs have to be categorize as - also it provides the guidelines for an article that is an album
  • WP:LYRICS - Not any lyric can just be added on here - lyrics are usually copyrighted under the name of the artist - this page provides guidelines for adding lyrics to articles

If you have any questions, just ask. Thank you. Douglasr007 02:18, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

I also recommend you read Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. You should be especially careful in citing sources when writing about matters that affect the lives of living persons, or are related to legal situations. —Centrxtalk • 05:15, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use image use

Recently you've re-added fair use tagged content back to your userpage and {{User Electric Light Orchestra}}, specifically re-inserting the copyrighted image Image:ELO Logo.JPG. Per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9, the use of fair use images on userpages or on templates is not permitted. Such images may only be used in the main article namespace. Please do not re-add the image back to that template or your userpage. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Thanks, --Durin 17:11, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

You're right. Durin is petty. He doesn't understand that it's not the rules people object to, it's his supreme fanactical use and interpretation thereof. Take a look at: User:Husnock/Durinconcerns. Sumoeagle179 02:59, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your support Sumoeagle but you know Life is too short to let Jobsworth's bring you down
