[edit] Editor's talk

Here's to give you a welcome into the project! Looking forward to seeing your contributions. :) ~ Maximilli, 19:16, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! The Editor 2 20:52, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

No prob. By the way, what marker are you looking to get? ~ Maximilli, 20:21, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

A Tippy 98C, with a BE Tiger Shark as backup, in case some odd thing happens to my 98, which isn't likely. I'll probably be playing almost exclusively woodsball. BTW, can I steal some of your userboxes? :D

The Editor 2 21:41, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Nice choice. Are you thinking of any aftermarket mods? For a barrel, I'd recommend a Stiffi. I've seen a lot of barrels, and the Stiffi pwns them all. About the userboxes, go right ahead! I'm planning on creating a couple more paintball ones to suit people who aren't woodsballers. Or Specialists. Come to think of it, what are you intending for your position? ~ Maximilli, 21:44, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I got a package of stuff of ebay, and included is a 16" JJ barrel. I haven't really given much thought to position.... Mostly, I think, I'll be playing in small groups with friends.

The Editor 2 21:53, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Okay, so you'll be playing basic rec-ball. You're going to have a lot of fun. ~ Maximilli, 22:31, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Yahoo! My gun package just arrived! As it's used, directions for field stripping weren't included, so I have to go print them out now. The Editor 2 23:36, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Sweet. D'ye like it? ~ Maximilli, 17:00, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, thank you. As soon as I get a chance to get to the local fill place, I'll test it. (and from my first sentence, you though I already had tested it =) ) I forgot to read the manual before I stripped it, so I learned first-hand how to re-assemble some of the more internal parts. Stupid me. :-) The Editor 2 23:01, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Sounds good. Yeah, when I first got my M98C, I dismantled it immediately. Lucky for me, though, I had the manual on hand for when I was trying to put it back together. :D Dang, that was years ago now!
When are you going to play your first game? ~ Maximilli, 23:37, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

That's funny, I thought I had posted a response.... Oh well. Well, it would be next time a friend organized one, but I think that my brother is going to get one going soon.

You probably have realized that I haven't been editing at all recently, that will change soon. A lot of things that were making me really busy just ended, (although things will be heating up again soon, darn it!) so I should be able to do something. The Editor 2 23:05, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Paintball News edit
  • As of the 13th of November, RavenStorm is the new Lead Coordinator of the project! Big round of applause, everyone! *clapping* I have stepped down and assumed RavenStorm's previous position as Assistant Coordinator because I expect to be very busy in the upcoming weeks, and because, quite frankly, I think RavenStorm would make a better administrator. In other news, the last item in Paintball's FA To-Do list was completed today (the prodigious lists were finally culled) and now the Project's administration is pushing a reinvigorated drive for the article to attain FA status. Please give ideas and comments either at Paintball's talk page or at the Project's talk page. Hopefully we can get everyone's thoughts. We hope to have the article nominated for FA status within the next few weeks. Thanks! ~ Maximilli, Assistant Coordinator
  • The WikiProject Paintball has attained 10 members! Not as many as we really need, but a great start. Remember to encourage regular paintball editors to join, we don't ask anything of you except to work as a team. Remember, our goal is essentially to have a tight grip on anything paintball so that quality, quantity, encyclopedic style and regular updating are assured. --RavenStorm, Lead Coordinator
Category News edit
  • The player positions pages have been renamed according to game type to be more accurate.
  • It is currently being debated whether the Speed paintball article should retain its name or be renamed in an attempt to collapse the term to its colloquial version: 'speedball'. Please view the article's talk page and leave your comments and opinions.
Priority Tasks edit
To continue the project's drive toward FA status for the Paintball article, please review the project news and spend some time going over the article.
Important! The List of professional paintball teams article is being cleaned up! All teams that have no evidence to back up their claim as a professional team will be REMOVED from the list on December 31st. Thank you for your cooperation!
Current priority: The Angel article needs to be expanded soon!
