[edit] Welcome

Hello, The13end, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!/wangi 20:25, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy by continued vandalism following warnings. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or mail unblock-en-l@mail.wikimedia.org. /wangi 20:33, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

I have reduced this block to 12 hours, please spend this time to read through the links at the top of this page and learn the goals of Wikipedia and how to contribute constructively on your return. In particular please remember this is an encyclopedia, not a blog or fan site! Thanks/wangi 20:56, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi!

I can see that you're very excited about A Series of Unfortunate Events. And you might be wondering what you did to get blocked. The thing is, we use the year and date pages to list the really important things that happened, like an earthquake that killed hundreds of people, or North Korea exploding a nuclear bomb. There are thousands of books and movies and video games released every year, and if we listed your favourites, and my favourites, and the favourites of everyone else on Wikipedia, then those pages would get so big they wouldn't be useful. I hope you enjoy reading Wikipedia, and contributing when you get unblocked (it's only 12 hours). But try to be a bit less excited about Lemony Snicket next time. And if somebody sends you another warning message, read it and think about it and don't just keep editing! -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 21:13, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] November 2006

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. · j e r s y k o talk · 21:20, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
