The Disease started out primarily as a metaphor to the condition of the world. After the conception of this idea I tried to write a book. After many failed attempts at starting this book I moved onto other endeavors but the name stuck with me.
After the attempts at writting my first book I have become seriously interested in philosophy and theology. I write many essays on subjects that concern me about the condition of the world. I am a christian writter who attends The Salvation Army. My main influences are C.S. Lewis, Catherine Booth, and Soren Kierkegaard. I would like to think that I write very much in the style of C.S. Lewis. I try to deduce things through logic and prove them to a point which you can not argue the facts. Considering philosophy is very much your manipulations of perceptions many things can be seen from various points. This makes writting a definitive statement quite hard. If you were to write "Mary had a bad day." There are several different interpretations of this or analytical perceptions. Did mary really have a bad day or was it simply her perception of the world around her? Was she simply projection what she wanted the world to be and therefor it was bad? In the sight of relativity was her day really that bad at all? Why did mary have a bad day? Was her bad day a cause of others? Was her bad day simply because of her stuborness? In hindsight will marys bad day even be considered bad. I know this example is a bit silly and maybe not helpful but it goes to prove the point that one statement can bring about a variety of objections or questions.
I find this field of thought to be most intriguing. Although I do refuse the mind of academia. I will not be brainwashed into one train of thought. I fully intend to obtain a degree but that is as far as I will stay with the system of higher education. In school you are constantly bombared with biased information and teaching. If you look closely at what your teachers say to you it will be quiet easy to deduce what political affiliations they hold and their outlook on life. I find this most troubling considering that these things are seeping into the brains of un knowing students. So I intend to completely disengage from this community and begin my own train of thought. I, as a christian, do not adhere to many of the theories that arise from the world in modern times. I find that I must understand the basis and then concieve my own higher ideas. There has been a very rich seed planted by earlier writers enabling me to be different and yet succesful in my ways of thought. There will not be a change in the world unless someone stands up and changes it.
