I am a 22-year old graduate student at the University of Denver's Graduate School of International Studies where I am earning an M.A. in International Studies. My area of specialty, or concentration, is in Environmental Policy and my particular field of specialization is in Comparative Politics.

I am a graduate of Millikin University and hold a B.A. with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy. Issues and topics that I have a good deal of knowledge on include (not to imply in any way that I edit the articles for these topics): sustainable development, international development, environmentalism, NGOs, foreign policy, international relations, political philosophy, ethics, Central Asia, and so on. I plan to begin working on my Masters thesis in the next few months, with a topic focused on the relationship between the environment and development practices in Central Asia.

Recently I have begun to give consideration to the possibility that I will join the Peace Corps upon finishing graduate school. It is too early to commit and I can't possibly know what changes will occur in my life in the next year and a half so this remains speculation on my part.

Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, The Shins and Built to Spill are all kickass bands, everyone should listen to them.

I'm a terribly political person and consider myself to be quite liberal. Although I'm a member and supporter of the Democratic Party my own views tend more towards social democracy which is a more liberal view than is had in the core of my party. Thus, I'm a Democrat for practical reasons; the United States will not have a viable third party in the forseeable future and, as such, I support the only liberal party capable of bringing change.
