[edit] The Kindness Fairy says Hello
I am the Kindness Fairy, here to remind everyone of Random Acts of Kindness Week, February 13-19, 2006. Wikipedia is filled with too much strife and discord, and we could all do with a little bit of kindness in our lives. During Random Acts of Kindness Week, the Fairy hopes to spread some good cheer by thanking people for all the good work they do around here.
[edit] How to help the Fairy
Kindness and good cheer doesn't just come from fairies, you too can help make Wikipedia a happier place to work. Find someone whom you respect and leave them a happy little note telling them that there efforts here are noticed and cherished. Extra happy fairy points for sharing the love with people who you don't already know well. The use of barnstars is welcome, but certainly not required. But above all, make each of your messages personal (no bots!). Fairy love is about making people feel welcomed and respected, and no silly mechanical contrivances or repetitively spammed text can capture the true spirit of Kindness.
[edit] If you get a message from the Fairy
The Fairy is full of joy and simply wants to see it shared. If you get a message from the Fairy, the best thing you can do is pay it forward, and share that warm happy goodness with others. This is all the thanks that the Fairy desires.
