Thessera is a Brazilian progressive metal band. Their sound, as described by band members, is influenced by Fusion, Blues, Brazilian Music and Classical music, as well as the expected influences for a progressive metal band.
The band's name is inspired from a dream of guitarrist Nando Costa about a tesseract[1].

[edit] 2006: First Album Release
The band's first album, Fooled Eyes, was released internationally by the label ProgRock Records. Despite being their debut, the work has been highly praised among specialized press in countries like USA, Israel, Poland, France, Germany, Hungary, UK and Brazil [2]. This concept album features 9 songs describing a character story, better translated around the motto "Reality is nothing but another dream"[3], much alike Dream Theater Scenes from a Memory concept. Remarkable influences on the songs are Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation and Symphony X as well as jazz, classical music, fusion and latin music structures.
