Thermal airship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A thermal airship is an airship that generates its lift via a temperature differential between the gas inside its envelope and the ambient air. The most common example of a thermal airship is a hot air airship, which is a cross between a hot air balloon and an airship. But an airship that generates its lift from steam would also qualify as a thermal airship.
