Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace is a National Historic Site located on 20th Street in Manhattan, New York City (USA). Although the original birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt was demolished in 1916, the site was purchased and rebuilt in 1919 by the Women's Roosevelt Memorial Association that eventually merged with the Roosevelt Memorial Association in 1953 to form the Theodore Roosevelt Association. The site was subsequently refurbished with many of the original furnishings, and now serves as a museum to the life and contributions of the 26th President of the United States.
