Theocore

A musical genre originating from Oxford, England circa 2004. The term was coined due to the surprising continuity with songs placed within Theo Peters' music collection, such as Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Iron & Wine and The Delgado's. Theocore is know for its acoustic centred mellow Indie, sometimes with the occasional electronic twist. Generally occumpanied by a cup of tea (milk and two please). With its frequent usage on English Skateboarding Footage.
Theocore has been officially recognised as a genre by the Oxford Brookes University Alternative Rock Society (www.alternativerocksociety.com), having been noted in many public events and publications including rOxscene, a independent publication put out by the afformentioned society.
Since 2005 Theocore has been an integral part within a weekly regular event known as "Feedback" in Oxford. The term has also found usage on Oxide Radio (www.oxfordstudentradio.com), a radio station associated with Oxford University Student Union.
