Thenmala is a beautiful tourist place near Punalur city, Kollam district in Kerala. The first eco tourism project in India is located at Thenmala. The Thenmala dam was built across kallada river.

The other places near Thenmala are Anchal, Punalur, Kamukumchery and Shenkottah. Thenmala is famous for shooting malayalam and tamil movies
