Thelwall Parish CC

Thelwall Parish Cricket Club (known simply as Thelwall), is an amateur village cricket club in Thelwall, Cheshire. The club's home ground is Elizabeth Park, situated in the village of Thelwall just outside Warrington, with a capacity of roughly 500 standing spectators.
[edit] History
The club was initially founded in 1847, as a member of a small village league. However, membership lapsed in the 1930s, as players gravitated towards the better-equipped clubs at Grapenhall and Lymm. The club was re-founded by Peter Swale in 2000, primarily from old students of Lymm High School, as a member of the Parish Cricket League. The first match was a one-day game against Lymm Baptist, which was won by Thelwall by three wickets, having declared at 179-6.
