The taibhdheardhc is a theatre house in Galway where Micheál MacLíammóir organised plays with all Irish speaking parts. In 1928 the theatre premiered with MacLíammóir's 'Diarmuid agus Gráinne' with himself in the lead part. The cast featured Mairtín O Direáin, who would become one of the foremost examplars of the modern school of Irish poetry.
