The shooting on Gilo neighborhood

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From the first days of al-Aqsa Intifada a fire from small-arms fired from Beit Jala on Gilo neighborhood (Gilo neighborhood is in the area that Israel conquered in Six-Day War). In spite of the fact that no one killed from this fire, the situation in which the Palestinians firing on a neighborhood in Jerusalem was insufferable in Israel's aspect and led to hard action against Beit Jala, despite the fact that the peoples who fired on Gilo neighborhood were not residents in Beit Jala [citation needed] . The shooting on Gilo neighborhood ceased completely only after Operation Defensive Shield.
