The World (radio program)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The World is a news radio program produced by the BBC World Service of the United Kingdom, and Public Radio International and WGBH of the United States. The program's goal is to bring international news to an American audience. PRI currently distributes the show to 200 public radio stations across the U.S. The program reaches more than 2 million listeners every week. It is primarily hosted by Lisa Mullins in Boston, but often includes substitute hosts Marco Werman and Ken Bader when Mullins is in the field.
The World was also one of the first nationally syndicated public radio programs to begin podcasting some of its content, notably its coverage of technology.
