The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut" is the last song on progressive rock quartet Coheed and Cambria's album Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. In the Final Cut, the main character Jesse dies. That character is later reborn on present day earth in a town called Margretville, which is the focus of Claudio Sanchez's side project, The Prize Fighter Inferno.
[edit] Music Video
The music video was directed by Claudio Sanchez. His girlfriend and himself starred in the video. The video is about a man who learns his girlfriend is cheating on him, and he captures her and tortures her to death. There are clips of him and her together happily, and other clips of him in his car holding a picture of them, clearly upset. Also, there are random clips of things like cans hanging from tree limbs and other shots of the area around the shed where he takes her to. Eventually, he takes off in the car and captures her and takes her to a small shed. He ties her to a chair and proceeds to use tools to torture her. During this part he wears a sack over his head similiar to Jason Vorhees in some of the Friday the 13th film. He also wields a chainsaw like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre star Leatherface.
[edit] In Concert
The song has become a concert staple. The song live is often longer than the album version, with the majority of it being improvised.
