The Will to Death is an album released by John Frusciante in the year 2004. He previously announced that in that year he would produce five albums using primitive recording techniques, and this is one of them.
In this album Josh Klinghoffer (The Bicycle Thief) appears as he did in Shadows Collide With People. He plays drums, bass, keyboards and guitar. The album is notable for a very laid back and free approach to music, as opposed to some of Frusciante's other works, which included an edgier funk sound.
