The Wayne Review

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First published in Spring, 2004, The Wayne Review is a student-run newspaper at Wayne State University that is a response to the liberal bias in the university-sponsored paper, The South End. Funded independently through private donations and advertising, it is distributed monthly and has a growing circulation. The paper is admittedly conservative. Its articles include: campus happenings, local and state affairs, and some national issues. Although The Wayne Review does contains conservative commentary, it does have some investigative stories.

While the paper's contents are not available online, The Wayne Review maintains a blog where similar commentary can be found. History major Joe Koss was the first Editor-In-Chief. During the first few issues of publication, the paper has faced criticism regarding grammatical and layout problems, but has since improved with the addition of a larger editing staff.
