"The Way You Love Me" was the second single off of Faith Hill's Breathe album. It is a mid-to-up-tempo love song that accentuates Hill's ability to turn a melodic phrase.
[edit] Chart performance
Following the massive success of Hill's previous single, "Breathe", the pressure was on for her second single to duplicate the country to pop crossover appeal. While it spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard's Country single chart and became her third solo top ten pop hit, it did not achieve quite the same level of success as "Breathe". However, spending 56 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, "The Way You Love Me" proved to be one of the longest running songs on the chart.
