The Unknown Soldier (Tuntematon sotilas) is a Finnish 1985 film directed by Rauni Mollberg. It can be thought of as a remake of the 1955 film of the same title, directed by Edvin Laine. Mollberg used young and unknown actors, many of them now famous, and the movie was shot in color with much hand-held footage, for which it was criticised. In other ways, too, the film had a hard time being compared to its formidable predecessor. Mollberg's movie was seen by about 590,000 people.
