[edit] Career
The UK Kid started training to become a professional wrestler at the age of 16 in Gosport, by Kris Kay. At the age of 18 he moved to San Antonio, Texas where he trained at the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy for three months and then at Dory Funk's Funking Conservatory.
Following his training UK Kid make his pro wresting debut in the United Kingdom on August 3, 1999. He made his USA debut in June 2000 against Kris Krugar in San Antonio.
The UK Kid went on to work for Ultimate Pro Wrestling, Shawn Michael's Texas Wrestling Academy, Big Time Wrestling, Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and many more. During this time the UK Kid made it a priority to return to the United Kingdom, where he worked for All Star, Premier Promotions, and The Wrestling Alliance.
Later the UK Kid would wrestle in Horndean, South West England with the Revolution British Wrestling (which would later become Varsity Pro Wrestling). The last shows the promotion held under the RBW southwest banner was in Horndean Technology College in Horndean, Hampshire on 6th May and 24th June in 2005.
The first show saw The UK Kid, one of RBW's top babyfaces defeat one of the promotions main heels, Phil Powers.
The second show featured an eight man knock out tournament both the UK Kid and Phil Powers would advance through the quarter finals. During the semi finals UK Kid would advance but Powers would lose his match against on/off team mate Doug Williams by forfeit after claiming to be injured. In the finals Doug Williams would defeat the UK Kid following help from Phil Powers.
The UK Kid and Phil Powers would continue their feuding into the debut of VPW. On September 16th 2005 VPW held their debut show from the Horndean Technology College, in which UK Kid cost Powers and Williams a match against the debuting Ballard Brothers getting a bit of revenge from the events months before. VPW would go on to hold two more shows from Horndean before the end of the year, one on October 28th and the other on November 25th. During the first of these last two show UK Kid would win the right to face Phil Powers in a match after defeating a hand picked opponent in Joe E. Legend, but this match would not be fought under the confines of a normal match, it would be a ladder match with the position of VPW spokesmen on the line. It was during the November show that UK Kid would defeat Phil Powers in the ladder match to become the Official VPW Spokesman.
After this The UK Kid would turn heel, beating down many of VPW's younger stars. On the 13th of January it was confirmed that in the month of February Kip James (aka former WWE star Billy Gunn) would be coming to Varsity Pro Wrestling. At the February 18th show in Exeter, UK Kid came to the ring to air his grievances about all the attantion James' was getting, this promo was cut short when Kip James entered the ring and disspoved of the UK Kid. Later in the night the UK Kid faced Kip James in the main event only to be defeated.
The UK Kid would also be apart of World Wrestling Entertainment's 2006 tour of the United Kingdom where he jobbed for the company; competing in a dark match before the RAW taping where The UK Kid would team with Charlie Rage to take on the 7 ft tall, 500 lb, Big Show.
In August 2006, VPW would enter into a working relationship with Irish promotion, Irish Whip Wrestling that would see talent trading between the two promotions and would also allow UK Kid screen time on IwW's Whiplash TV show on TWC.
