Beanie Sigel had a somewhat rapidly rising career, which began with his appearance on one of underground producer DJ Clue's mix tapes, to cameos on Jay-Z's Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life, and finally solo deal with Roc-A-Fella Records. His distinctive, slightly drawling delivery and his clever but hard-hitting rhymes were showcased on this debut album, The Truth. Which features Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, Eve, and Scarface. The album was critically acclaimed and is considered by many as Sigel's best album to date, and one of the best debut Rap albums of recent times.
