By her eighth album Patty Loveless had become a master at country music hitmaking. The Trouble with the Truth rose to #10 on the Billboard Top Country albums charts, and #86 on the Pop charts. Two singles were Country #1 hits, and three more made it into the top 15. The two #1 singles were "Lonely Too Long" and "You Can Feel Bad."
