The Trouble With Romance is a 2007 motion picture starring Kip Pardue, David Eigenberg, Roger Fan, Josie Davis, Sheetal Sheth, and Coby Ryan McLaughin. Part comedy and part romance, this film is a provocative, sexy and insightful exploration of relationships between men and women and why we all still yearn for love despite the trouble with romance.

The film is directed by Gene Rhee, who's previous comedic film, "The Quest For Length", was a huge sensation at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. Another Sundance veteran, Mark G. Mathis (2005 indie hit, Brick), is the executive producer.

[edit] Plot

In separate rooms of one Los Angeles hotel, four different couples struggle with their relationships. JACK and JILL can't “get up the hill” because STEVE is blocking their way. PAUL and KAREN have been married for seven years and could use a little spice in their love life - but maybe not that much spice. JIMMY is from Mars and STEPH is from Venus and they’ve got commitment issues that span the universe. NICOLE thought she knew what men wanted - and what she wanted, but CHARLIE’s different...or is he not? Relationships are tough. It's hard enough just meeting that right person, but then you have to deal with all their baggage - and everyone's got baggage. In the end, we still yearn for love despite the trouble with romance.
