The Sydney University Symphony Orchestra

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sydney University Symphony Orchestra (SUSO) is the premier orchestra at the University of Sydney's main campus in Australia.

SUSO was founded in 1948 as the "Pro Musica Orchestra" and is currently made up of around 70 talented musicians from all faculties across the university.

SUSO has been conducted by George Ellis since 2006.

SUSO's main sponsors are the University of Sydney Union and donations from the public. The long-term survival of SUSO is currently under threat with the introduction of Voluntary Student Unionism.
