[edit] Round 1 vs. Schumey Too
The Steel Avenger had a faster start, but Schumey Too used its pushing power while The Steel Avenger attacked it with its pick, just managing to avoid the pit at the same time. Schumey Too got under the Steel Avenger but The Steel Avenger could not use its hammer to much effect. Schumey Too tried to push The Steel Avenger again, before being bounced by the arena spike, and going in the pit.
[edit] Round 2 vs. Díotóir
After a very slow start Díotóir got under the Steel Avenger, and The Steel Avenger drove into Dead Metal. The Steel Avenger knocked one of Díotóir's eyes off, before it was flipped by Díotóir. At the end Sergeant Bash used his flamethrower and set Díotóir's fur on fire.
[edit] Series 4
[edit] Round 1 vs. Humphrey vs. Wild Thing
Wild Thing got under both Humphrey and The Steel Avenger. It was faster than the other robots, and pushed The Steel Avenger into Matilda. Matilda rerighted it, but meanwhile Humphrey was having control problems.
[edit] Round 2 vs. Sir Chromalot
The Steel Avenger drove into Sir Chromalot, and pushed it into the arena spike. It kept using its axe, but missed the other robot. Eventually the axe hit Sir Chromalot's drill. At the end The Steel Avenger pushed Sir Chromalot into the pit.
[edit] Round 3 vs. Wild Thing
Wild Thing drove straight into The Steel Avenger, but after this the robots dodged around each other for a long time. Eventually Wild Thing rammed The Steel Avenger, and tipped it onto itself. The Steel Avenger's innovative self-righting mechanism did not work properly, so it was immobilised.
[edit] Series 5
[edit] Round 1 vs. Tartan Terror
This wasn't a fight really, as Tartan Terror (made from a wiskey cask) was ripped to bits and thrown in all directions by first Steel Avenger and then the House Robots. No real test for Steel Avenger, but they would get one in the next round. The draw put them against Chaos 2.
[edit] Round 2 vs. Chaos 2
Steel Avenger were sure that they would be flipped out of the arena and Chaos 2 delivered. The fight started with Chaos 2 flipping Steel Avenger all over the place, and Steel Avenger showing off its self righter (which was working for the first time ever). But then Chaos 2 flipped Steel Avenger over the fence and out of the wars, whilst shattering a studio light in the process (well, you'd shatter if a 100kg steel robot landed on you as well). Later, after the fight, the lighting crew presented George Francis with the broken light, and the note attached to it read 'Presented to George Francis and Chaos 2 in memory of all the lights you've busted, and just to say do it again and you die!'
[edit] Series 7
[edit] Round 1 vs. Shredder Evolution vs. Sub Version 1.1 vs. Trax
Sub-Version drove over Trax. Steel Avenger axed Shredder and roasted them on the flame pit. Shredder escaped and Trax flipped Steel Avenger over, reveling "Who Did That?" which was painted on Steel Avenger's underside. Steel Avenger used their axe and self-righter to flip themselves back onto their wheels. Sub-Version, driven by the Royal Navy, pressed the Pit Release button, and nearly drove themselves down the Pit! Steel Avenger axed Shredder again and once again dragged them towards the Flame Pit, but then Trax flipped the Avenger over again. Trax then pushed Sub-Version down the Pit just as time ran out. Steel Avenger and Trax won on a judges' decision.
[edit] Round 2 vs. Rhino
Steel Avenger axed Rhino several times. Rhino could not get a grip nor a flip on the experienced machine. Steel Avenger pressed (and wrecked) the Pit Release, then tried to push Rhino down the Pit. Rhino was already dead, but because of its bulbous size, Steel Avenger could not get it down the Pit. At one point, Steel Avenger nearly fell in himself! But finally, Rhino was pitted and The Avenger moves on to face the #16 seeds, Storm II in the final.
[edit] Round 3 vs. Storm 2
Speed Vs Experience. Who would win? Well, actually it was speed. Storm rammed Steel Avenger so hard into the arena wall. Both robots then started driving around in circles in front of the Ref-cam. Steel Avenger's axe came down, but ended up missing Storm completely and axed the arena floor. They were finally able to pull it out, but then Storm slammed them into Growler. Steel Avenger escaped from the fast House Robo-dog. Too fast...too fast! Storm got underneath Steel Avenger, and without using their lifter, SLAMMED Steel Avenger so hard into the arena wall, they went flying out! Storm II flies through to the Series Semi-Finals!
