The Stadium
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Stadium" was a commonly used name for the former home stadium of Chester City F.C., an English football club based in the city of Chester. The ground was also known as Sealand Road, due to its location on that street. The ground was home to the club from 1906 till 1990. In 1990 the team moved to their present home, the Saunders Honda Stadium, formerly known as the Deva Stadium. Chester City's record home attendance was set at The Stadium on 15 January 1952, when 20,500 spectators watched the team's FA Cup 3rd round tie against Chelsea F.C.
