"The Spy Who Came in From the Cool" is a first-season episode of The Monkees television series. The fifth episode in the series, it aired on NBC October 10, 1966 (first-run) and June 12, 1967 (repeat), and was repeated September 26, 1970 April 3, 1971 July 1, 1972 on CBS and October 7, 1972 and May 19, 1973 on ABC.
[edit] Plot Summary
The Monkees shop at a music store where David purchases a pair of red maracas with microfilm hidden in one of them. When a team of Russian agents, who mistake them for spy contacts, pursue them for possession of the microfilm, the CIS (Central Intelligene Service) enlists the boys' asistance in apprehending the enemy agents and recovering the film.
