The Sound of White is the first album by Australian female artist Missy Higgins, released by Eleven in September 2004 (see 2004 in music). Critics heralded the album as a superb debut and it achieved massive commercial success, reaching number one on the Australian album chart and selling over 560,000 copies being accredited platinum nine times.

The Sound of White includes typical pop songs ("Scar"), love ballads ("The Special Two"), jazz/blues numbers ("Casualty"), acoustic tracks ("Ten Days"), and other more intimate songs ("All for Believing", "Nightminds").
