The Slug
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Slug is a blog about pop culture from The Associated Press' asap news portal with the tagline: The Slug "tastes pop culture for you — just in case it's been poisoned." Previous posts have revealed that Meredith Vieira posed with a Photoshopped dog in Traditional Home magazine [1], raised suspicions about a secret Disney Parks announcement after receiving a giant invitation [2], and captured video of Topher Grace arguing about his wardrobe on the set of "Spider-Man 3" [3]. The Slug officially launched on May 31, 2006, and is written by Derrik J. Lang, an asap reporter who formerly worked on the AP's entertainment desk.
