The Silent Partner is a 1978 crime film directed by Daryl Duke. It starred Elliott Gould, Christopher Plummer, and Susannah York and was also one of the earliest film appearances of comedic icon John Candy.
[edit] Plot Synopsis
Gould is an employee in a bank. He decides to embezzle some funds on the same day that a robber, played by Plummer, makes off with a very large amount of money. When the reports of the robbery mention a much higher amount of money than Plummer obtained, he blackmails Gould to obtain the rest of the money.
