[edit] History/Analysis

The Sewer King controlled a small army of children under the sewers of Gotham City, all probably abandoned or orphaned. He made them his slaves, forcing them to collect money and jewels for him. When they disobeyed, he punished them by making the troublemaker stand in a room filled with sunlight; the children had grown sensitive to light under the dark sewers.

However, Batman began to investigate the strange sightings of "leprechauns" running around stealing items, and captured one of the kids who tried to escape. After befriending him, the child led Batman to the Sewer King's hideout. The Sewer King attacked Batman with his pet alligators, but Batman subdued them, and eventually captured the madman and freed his young captives.
