The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary

The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary is an educational puzzle game developed by MECC, which pits you against a variety of mathematical and logical puzzles. It was developed for the DOS platform, and was published in 1993.

You start as a human playing in a shooting gallery in Dr. Quandary's fair, and is given a live-action figure when you beat the shooting game. However, it is a ruse for Dr. Quandary to put you in the doll and transport you to his secret island, and you must gather and brew the Fixer Elixir in order to escape from his island.

There are a variety of puzzles in the game in which you must solve, most requiring some mathematical or logic skills, with some memory challenges thrown in as well. The game also features a variety of traditional puzzles, such as the Tower of Hanoi, crosswords, and tangrams. Beating each puzzle will net you an item that can be used as an ingredient for the Fixer Elixir, which can be a puzzle in itself for the harder difficulty levels.
