The Saint on Guard is a collection of two mystery novellas by Leslie Charteris, first published in the United States in 1944 by The Crime Club, and in the United Kingdom in 1945 by Hodder and Stoughton. This book continues the adventures of Charteris' creation, Simon Templar, alias The Saint. As explained below, an abridged version of this collection was published as The Saint and the Sizzling Saboteur; this was the last time to date that a Saint book was republished under a different title.
[edit] Stories
The book consisted of the following stories:
- The Black Market
- The Sizzling Saboteur
These two novellas were longer than the usual length. As a result, some editions published the novellas separately, "The Black Market" often under the title The Saint on Guard (as by Avon Books) and "The Sizzling Saboteur" under the title The Saint and the Sizzling Saboteur.
