The Rumble Strips are an English band from Tavistock in Devon. Having known each other since childhood, a precise conception date for the band doesn't really exist. The current line-up has been together since 2004 and are now based in London. Lead singer Charlie Waller was formerly a member of Vincent Vincent and the Villains and the Action Heroes.

The band frequently perform across the UK and abroad. They toured with fellow Transgressive band The Young Knives between November 2005 and February 2006, Good Shoes in March 2006, and supported Dirty Pretty Things during their April & May 2006.

They are now signed to Fallout Records, which is a subsidiary label of Universal Island Records.
